The Art and School conferences, organized by the Museo del Prado and Fundación Daniel & Nina Carasso in 2023 and 2025, showcase leading models, projects, and initiatives that have developed at the intersection of art and education. Both institutions play a pivotal role in advancing this line of work, which is now increasingly recognized within the new UNESCO Framework for Cultural and Artistic Education and prominently featured in the agenda of Mondiacult 2025.
These gatherings bring together policymakers and senior officials from the education sector, representatives of foundations and major cultural institutions, teachers, and student groups, with an emphasis on artistic participation. They provide a key platform for showcasing public policy models in art and education, as well as specific programs led by cultural institutions and civil society.
Our responsibilities included liaising with the organizing and collaborating entities such as UNESCO and the Ministries of Culture and of Education, Vocational Training, and Sport. We also managed relations with invited guests and decision-makers, coordinated program design, and oversaw logistics for travel and accommodation. In addition, we handled the contracting and supervision of various service providers, including technical support, design, simultaneous translation, and Spanish Sign Language interpretation.
